Spooky Tuesday

I have never been into Halloween. Parties and the like have not been on my radar of things to pencil in on our social calendar. Growing up, my sisters and I cobbled together costumes the day of and headed out to trick or treat around my aunt's neighborhood. That was the extent of our Halloween festivities.

So it was to my surprise, that after passing a sign advertising a family Halloween party at a local business, I was determined to participate! Pearson's Candy, a 105 year old company, was holding it's 3rd annual Halloween Celebration.

Stepping into the small courtyard, it felt as if we had just walked on a movie set. The area was tastefully decorated and boasted a number of family friendly activities. Kids could decorate pumpkins, earn candy at various games, watch the magic show, or bounce off their sugar rush in a jump house.

I was particularly interested in the bulk candy they were offering. There was a booth to buy bulk, fun-size candies by the pound. We bought a few bins to stock up for trick or treaters visiting our house on the 31st. And this candy was candy with a cause as the proceeds would benefit the Ronald McDonald House.

The costumes were absolutely precious and so imaginative! I couldn't help snapping pics of a few of the best!

Here's to hoping there will be a 4th annual celebration because it's already going on our 2015 calendar!

Happy Halloween!
Emily
